• Same here. Except mine involved a fraudulent assessor who turned up with his builder "mate" to assess the damage. Began the work telling me that everything was fine. The assessor was then fired for fraud. My apartment is ripped to pieces. And I am being told it's not up to them to finish the work, I need to get Strata to do it as I only have "contents cover". I have everything in writing that this will be paid out by Allianz and they now reneg?

  • Effectively the CUSTOMER needs to be the one to keep documented evidence and paper trails on shifty insurance companies like Allianz. This is deplorable and unacceptable practice. My new assessor told me that the original assessor "targeted me" because I am "vulnerable". A full admission! And they still have the audacity to tell me it's not their problem?
