I used 1 Cover for the first time when booking a Vietnam Meekong River Cruise at the recommendation of my travel agent. Unfortunately my husband had to have a hip replacement and after having a very unpleasant experience with the tour provider the service and understanding I received when initially reporting acclaim and at every stage through to final payment of the claim was handled in a caring and exemplary manner.. I am extremely impressed with 1 cover and will always use and recommend them in future Status: Approved

I have been using 1Cover for a number of years and have just had to make a claim for the first time.
Unfortunately I broke my ankle prior to my trip , and from my initial inquiry to final payment in FULL of my claim 1Cover staff kept me fully informed.
I was so disappointed to have to cancel my travel , yet so thrilled to be FULLY repaid because of my insurance.
I will be recommending 1Cover to all my travelling friends and will definitely insure with them again. Status: Approved

I never thought I would ever write an email to an insurance company thanking them... but I feel that I must. I have been so pleasantly surprised at how great you have been to deal with at every step.

It was cheap and easy to get cover. Whilst we were overseas my 6 child needed to be flown back to home for a medical assessment. The staff on the phone were helpful, compassionate and never once questioned things based on price. It was a stressful time and I found them lovely to deal with and seemed genuinely concerned for my son and I. After arriving back home and putting a claim in, you processed my claim without a whole lot of questions.

What is the story with these products and the inundation of advertising ? Are they making that much profit that they can run TV adverts every 5 minutes ?
I got home yesterday and my wife had arranged funeral cover - we are both < 30 years old !
I can statistically hope to live to 70, so in the next 40 years I'll pay out well in excess of the costs of our funerals.
It's a bizarre extension of life insurance that only really has value if you suspect youre going to die sometime in the next $3-5000 worth of premiums (ten years I guess).
I understand life insurance, that sorts the family out and the mortgage, but this review is about Funeral insurance, which I think is a SCAM. Status: Approved

Got comprehensive Allianz insurance for my car, and although one policy looks like another, I found they were pretty good on price and customer service so far.

Nib offers great cover and customer service. Their online claims system is second to none. They provide rebates on natural medicines such as accupuncture which is a big plus for me. I have an issue with their dental service though - to get a free annual check up, scale and clean (which is standard with most funds) you can only use their dental clinics which are few and far between. Status: Approved

I'm a seasoned traveller, and there is only 1 company that I trust for my travel insurance = OnTour.

Don't just buy any cheap old policy, but make sure you read it first. Because cheap is not always best... especially when you come to claim and then find out you're pretty much not covered for anything at all.

OnTour has the most comprehensive policy for the price. If you're going to bother with travel insurance, then you might as well make sure you're properly covered. Especially these days with all the wars, disasters and thieves.

I took a gap year in my last year of uni (psychology, and it was doing my head in). Went all across asia backpacking and had an awesome time. Mum insisted I get travel insurance and I found iTrek online - I didnt even pay much attention at the time, but when I started to juggle my travel around, they were great to deal with and really flexible - I ended up staying on an extra 6 months in thailand and I couldnt believe how cheap the cover was. Got robbed while away, and although claiming was a hassle - had to give a police report - I was SO GLAD to have insurance. Dave from Newcastle. Status: Approved

I have been overseas quite a lot over the years and have been covered by a number of different providers. I'd only recommend 1Cover because I know they deliver on claims. I was stuck in Europe and had to cancel heaps of tours and flights because of the ash cloud. Thankfully, 1Cover fully reimbursed these expenses. I would have been out of pocket $5k or so. Status: Approved
