Customer service stinks
I took out a policy for a short trip to North Queensland (mainly for car rental excess cover). I unexpectedly had to extend my stay for two days, and I tried to call 1cover to extend my policy. I called at 7pm but could not get through (their office was supposedly open till 8pm), so I sent an email. I didn't get a reply until the following morning, when I was told that I couldn't extend my policy as it had already lapsed, nor could I take out another policy.
I replied outlining my circumstances and told her that I tried to call during office hours before my policy had lapsed, but I did not get a reply.
I therefore had to take out insurance with the car rental company at $30/day and was an inconvenience.
Very disappointed at 1cover's customer service, and as a result will not be using them again nor recommending them.
