Proving a claim
Photographic proof of damage to luggage was not enough. A report was needed from airport even though this was the last destination before driving home. It does not say in product disclosure that a report is needed - it just says that evidence is necessary. It was a brand new suitcase - I had the receipt to show date of purchase which was just before starting the trip - and I had photos of the damage. The suitcase is not reusable due to a large crack in the shell. The requirements are not clearly spelled out. Once I found out a report was needed, it was then too late.
