Talk about overpriced!

I rang to get a quote on home & contents for a brand new house we just built and decided to ask ANZ for a quote since all our bank accounts are with them, but for a 29 square single story house they wanted $5300 per annum. I was gobsmacked & had to ask them a couple of times, even reducing my contents amount and getting rid of the accidental damage clause, which then brought the figure down to the above amount. This is highway robbery otherwise just incompetent on the customer service assistant's part. I figure if they can't even get that part right what hope do I have in getting a claim sorted?
