Worst service ever
Super bad experience with Bupa, I am going to switch my insurances to midibank or others. I purchase 12 month visitor health insurance for my mum in Hurstville Bupa store. Instead of paid in a lump sum, I preferred to paid monthly. After 12 month, my mum went back to China and they still keep on charging me for another 7 month!!!!!!!!
I only noticed it recently by checking credit card payment. But when I talked to the client service team, they made me provide all kinds of documents to proof my mum departure date, then told me they can't back paid me.
It's totally unacceptable that I only bought 12 month insurance and they charge 7 month more without telling me. Plus, my mum bought the same 12 month health insurance with Bupa on 2013. After she went back to China, I called your client service and got the back pay from my mum's departure date to the date I called. So Bupa can definitely do back pay, because it have done it before. Bupa has the history in their system.
Totally scams, I suggest everyone who has similar issue go to Financial ombudsman or Private Health Insurance Ombudsman to lodge a dispute, this Third party will help us to get our right back. I will do it today to protect my right. I will also cancel all my family insurance with Bupa, won't use it again for my whole life.
