Comminsure spends more to refuse than it cost to repair

We had a legitimate claim a few years ago following an unprecedented rain event for my 25 + years living here. The damage was obvious and blind Freddie could have seen it, a deeper than ankle depth trench cut through the bitumen coated driveway halfway down a SLOPE. The first assessor was positive. Then came the engineer, quite steely in demeanor, uh oh. Sure enough, a few weeks later the excuse to reject the claim arrived by mail. An historic google photo of another section of driveway 30 or more metres away in a VALLEY, covered with a wash of brown dirt over the dip of the drivewy from the neighbours overgrazed paddock, but not an issue. It dried and blew away.
One truckload of 'screenings' or similar for $350 would have adequately repaired the damage.
Goodness knows how much comminsure had to pay two different groups to assess the damage? Surely significantly more than the cost of repair?
Instead, they've lost my trust FOREVER. I've switched my mortgage to WP recently and now I can finally dump comminsure too.
Don't forget comminsure, my experience will be related for a very long time.
