Claim took one year to settle

How long does it take to clear a simple claim related to a burnt carpet? A year if you are dealing with Suncorp! They have finally cleared the claim that I made almost a year ago. And it has come after months of repeated calls, visits, complains. I had lost hope that I will ever recover my money from them considering their ignorant attitude and rude behaviour. It has been a horrible experience dealing with them.
