Multitrip provides the worst service....
Multitrip provides the worst service....It has been over a year since I lost my luggage during a domestic flight in Venezuela. To this day, I have not received a compensation from Multitrip.Multitrip deals only with sale - a website and marketing, that is all. Multitrip does not have a customer service department capable of processing claims. The claims are processed by an external company called Mapfre Assistance, which has a very poor reputation (89%bad review)After my submission of a written complaint and a long time its processing by the company I received a proposition to refer my case to the Financial Services Ombudsman Bureau. This meant even more months of struggle. Unsurprisingly, Multitrip and Mapfree Assistant did not recognize any negligence on their part.I think that the company is not ready organisationally-wise to process a claim that was made outside of Europe (in Venezuela). If Multitrip acts in the same manner in medical and accident-related cases, then I feel really sorry for tourists insured in this company.During my holidays I had two travel insurance policies: Multitrip and Bupa. Bupa requested only answering to 3 questions. When it comes to Multitrip acting via Mapfre Assistance, I had to answer a few dozen questions in several letters and phone calls. After 10 months since the loss of my luggage I was basically informed that if I was not happy I could then submit another complaint to the Financial Services Ombudsman Bureau. They only used a nicer language. Two more months have already passed since I submitted this complaint and there is still no compensation for the lost luggage on my bank account.I travel a lot and on several occasions I had to use the services of insurance companies, for instance when I fractured my spine in the Alps (surgery) or my luggage was irretrievably lost / delayed /damage in flight. I also had a motorbike accident. Multitrip provides the worst service of all the companies I have ever encountered.Insurance companies are valued based on how they handle claims and not how cheap or easy to buy their policies.
