Any excuse not to pay you
My headphones were stolen from my bag while I was travelling on an overnight bus. The bag was in an overhead compartment above my seat. I lodged an insurance claim once back in Australia. Mind you, the claim wasn't big. I was claiming my Sony headphones so after excess I would probably get max 300-400 dollars back. Woolworths insurance refused my claim on the basis that apparently I was meant to sit on my bags and watch them like a hawk on a 12h overnight journey. It's not like I left my bags and went for a hike, I fell asleep as one would expect to, when travelling overnight. They used that as an excuse to refuse my claim. They will literally find any reason not to pay you.
I travel a lot and always buy travel insurance, 300 dollars they saved cost them a life long customer. Well done Woolies.
