Mixed Bag of good and bad.
Been with HCF for about 3-5 years all up. paid my premiums via direct debit so never late. Had one hospital claim in that time and have to admit that i was impressed, other than my excess, I didn't have to pay anything at all, no gap whatsoever. Well done, you got it right when it counted. However-Your customer service people and contact center staff including you sme's, know surprisingly little about phi and the legislation around it. I had several calls with them a year ago about LHC and why I was still paying it after 10 years of continuous cover. (some time with other funds too) and no matter how senior a staff member i managed to escalate to, none of them knew the legislation inside out. unfortunately for them, I do. I have since been back paid for the overcharges so its fine. But just pointing it out in case they want to look at areas of improvement.
