Deliberately misled - watch these guys!!!!!!
I recently purchased travel insurance with 1 Cover Insurance. The policy stated that I was covered for flight cancellations. Unfortunately my flight was cancelled due to volcanic activity in Indonesia. When I called to enquire about making a claim I was advised that the policy was invalid. I was advised that 1 Cover had stated this on their home page however there is notification to this affect and I have taken screen shots to prove this. At no time during the purchase process was this advised and despite the policy not being valid I was still sold the insurance.
This is clearly miss leading and a breach of contract.

Our policies do offer cover for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances. As standard we cover for natural disaster, but once an event has happened and is in the mass media this is no longer unforeseen and therefore policies purchased during the time of it being a known event will not offer cover related to it.
However, policies would still cover all other benefits of the policy as standard, e.g. overseas medical expenses, luggage and personal effects, family emergency etc.
