• Hi Michelle, as I said in reply to your other review, I'm sorry your claim didn't have the outcome you had expected. I unreservedly apologise if there was a lack of care on your call. I would like to further investigate this so we can address this with the member of staff in question, to ensure this doesn't happen again, as it goes directly against what we stand for. I have sent you a message as a response to your review on Product Review, requesting more information so I can look into this for you. Regarding the claim: unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the details of your case, so I can't comment on the claim itself. But you are able to appeal the decision to a team that is independent of the claims team, by emailing your claim number to [email protected]. Thanks, Anna

  • All nice words Anna but we were still left high and dry in the USA with no assistance from the medical team and are still thousands of dollars out of pocket as insure and go did not recognise my condition as a medical emergency. If anyone had given a hoot maybe the outcome would have been more favourable. In addition the loss of money and enjoyment of our trip i have had to have further expensive treatment on returning to Australia that might have been avoided if I could have accessed medical advice whilst on our holiday. • Hi Michelle, I understand it may be too late for an apology. Nevertheless, I am very genuinely sorry, and I'm discussing your case with our team to ensure that the relevant people receive training and coaching to prevent this happening in future. I will update you on our Product Review conversation when I have an update for you. Thanks, Anna

  • $400 for dental treatment which was life endangering looks wrong in that it was a $4000 cost why does insure and go cover so little? This is a question to insure and go. It appears you did not deliver what may or may not have been paid for. I would like to know. Seems insane to pay high rates- you are not the cheapest or most expensive but you are not cheap.
    Looking forward to your reply.

  • Michael, Be ware of this company. Only covers $500 less excess for dental of any description despite having the "GOLD" policy with unlimited medical. There are other policies that actually have unlimited medical and mean it.

  • Hi Michelle,
The rep told you in a roundabout way, the team will, 'ensure the 'relevant people' receive training and coaching'. I believe the 'relevant people' SHOULD be qualified for the position and NO training & coaching needed. You entered the travel insurance contract believing 'the relevant people' are experienced, this is no fault of yours, it is your right to have been dealing with experienced 'relevant people', who in their right mind would enter into a contract knowing 'the relevant' people need training & coaching.

  • We will pay your necessary medical, hospital and repatriation expenses incurred onboard and onshore if you become ill, are injured or die during your trip or cruise, up to the amount specified for your selected policy. We pay up to $500 for Dental treatment for immediate pain relief only. Please be aware Medical expenses are not covered when you travel in Australia (Onshore). This includes if you declare any pre-existing medical conditions.

  • Good luck getting any dental treatment for $500 anywhere in the world for pain relief. My issue is that the policy, when purchased , says unlimited medical. Buried in the PDF is an obscure reference to dental treatment. Never mind that my issue was a medical emergency that if left untreated could have resulted in a life threatening emergency. Lets see you pay $4300 AUD for emergency medical treatment in the USA and see if you're so cavallier. Interestingly many other policies are transparent about their policy limitations and clearly state their dental limits. RAC cover $1000 and our new insurer is unlimited. Shame Insure and Go cannot do the dame.
