• My initial flight was booked and paid for one month before travelling. On the day of the flight, I was not able to board the flight due to administrative matters from the airline. I bought two additional flights in order to get to my destination as my Visa was expiring. I was warned by airport staff that I would be taken to my country's embassy if I did not depart that day. Virgin will not cover these expenses as they claim they are 'booking issues' and they do not cover booking issues. What is the point of travel insurance if it does not cover additional flights?
