Top Notch Claims Experience

Before I get into my review on Progressive, I wanted to give you guys a hi-five, I love the fact that I can sort the reviews by Claims experience on this site. You can only assess the worth of an insurance company by the way claims are handled. If you can’t make a claim when you need it, what on earth are you paying premiums for. In the case of Progressive I can't fault them. I made a claim online within 8 hours, and managed to save $25.00 of my excess by doing so. I received a phone call and advised them of my preferred repairer and within 24 hours had the ok to get the car fixed with new, not 2nd hand, parts. They also handled all the negotiations with the 3rd party. I saved a few hundred dollars insuring two cars with Progressive compared to the quotes from my previous insurer. The car is being repaired as I'm typing this so I can't comment on the workmanship. In any event the finished result is down to the repairer not Progressive, but it would be interesting to see how they react if I'm not happy with the repairs. I will repost if I have any issues, but so far so good.
