Rubbish
Unfortunately my father passed away suddenly just before I flew overseas. I took out full comprehensive insurance like I do every time over many, many, many years. There was a clause saying that the person had to be 85 years or younger for me to put a claim in. My father was 86 and very fit and heathy. Even though I did not use my insurance, they still didn't give me a refund. Rubbish 1Cover! This is not acceptable, you can at least refund the amount of my policy as I didn't even use it.

Firstly, I am so sorry to hear about your fathers passing - I can only imagine how difficult this has been for you.
I can appreciate why you're disappointed in the wording of our policies and the circumstances in which we are able to offer cancellation cover.
Unfortunately, like most insurers, we are unable to extend our emergency and cancellation cover to family members over the age of 85.
Keeping an open dialogue with our customers is how we improve our service, so thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
