I purchased travel insurance online and i had mistakenly put the return date as 2 days early. I called, thinking they could just amend the return date and I could pay the difference. I was told by the consultant that they would have to cancel the policy and I would have to re-purchase the policy as I had put in the incorrect date. I then asked if I could purchase 2 days' insurance to make up the shortfall. I was told that the minimum was 3 days. Frustrated, i told her to cancel the policy. I was told to expect a full refund in 5 business days. Needless to say, I will be buying my insurance elsewhere.
