No cover prior to departure

I was in the unfortunate situation recently where Jetstar had cancelled my international flight. Although Jetstar refunded my flight cost, I had to purchase an alternate flight at double the price so I could continue my trip.
Tick DOES NOT cover you prior to departure. As I had not commenced the trip my claim was rejected.
