No cover prior to departure

I was in the unfortunate situation recently where Jetstar had cancelled my international flight. Although Jetstar refunded my flight cost, I had to purchase an alternate flight at double the price so I could continue my trip.
Tick DOES NOT cover you prior to departure. As I had not commenced the trip my claim was rejected.

Hi Anthony, I'm sorry your claim didn't have the outcome you had hoped for. If you feel like your claim was dealt with unfairly in any way, I would definitely recommend that you contact [email protected].
