• Hi Michelle, I'm sorry for the problems you've had thus far in getting a refund. I would recommend you sign in to your account at https://quote.tickinsurance.com.au/policylogin.aspx to see if you are eligible for our partial credit system. Thanks, Anna

  • I have done that and all you would give is $5 how pathetic is that, When i try and email or speak to some one my emails bounce back and the phone disconnects .... Other Travel Insurance's are giving future credits to use at a later date.. Why can't Tick Insurance do this, Friends of mine have been given full refunds or future Credits from Tick Insurance,so why not do the right thing and give everyone Future credits to use...I won't be recommending you again. I have 2 Travel dates that were cancelled one in April 2020 and one in August 2020. 2 friends who i told to use you and now they cant even get future credits as they travel arrangements have been cancelled as well in August 2020...

  • Hi Michelle, I'm sorry but our team is being inundated with COVID related claims and enquiries, which is causing delays, and other contact difficulties. Regarding the refund, I'm genuinely sorry that this solution doesn't work for you, as it compares the date of purchase with the date travel was restricted, and the end date of your policy to work out your credit, but unfortunately, we cannot offer full credits or refunds, as your policy begins to over you as soon as you purchase it. If you need to cancel your trip before departure due to unforeseen illness or injury any time between your purchase date and travel date, your policy would cover you, so the policy does get 'used' before your travel dates. Thanks, Anna

  • I bought this travel insurance in Date: 19/06/2019 so it was well before Covid 19 even came about, Its not used as i never made a claim against it. To keep customers happy with everyone loosing their jobs you should think about the long term if people don't come back to you because you are so hard to deal with..

  • I also wasn’t entitled to a refund on my travel insurance even though it was the cruise company that cancelled my trip. When I purchased the policy my cruise was still on. It was only later that it was cancelled due to the Covis virus. I have learnt my lesson & will not purchase insurance until I am about to leave . I will also take my travel ins out with those companies who have given refunds to those affected, regardless. They have taken a positive, Sympathetic view of the situation and come through for those who due to no fault of their own when required to cancel. RAC & Woolworths insurance companies are 2 that come to mind, I’ll be using them in the future. No Click - is NO GO

  • I AM takING this further and i am contacting AFCA you do not need to be 'in the dark'. Insurance must be 'Fit for Purpose' (under Fair Trading legislation.).. since you cannot travel.. it is no longer 'fit for purpose'. Therefore, you are entitled to a refund... 'future credit' is also 'not fit for purpose'. Lodge complaint with the Ombudsman for all Financial Business, that operate in Australia = AFCA. lIKE MANY OTHERS IN OUR FACE BOOK GROUP WANTING REFUNDS FROM TICK INSURANCE... PATHETIC TRAVEL INSURANCE BOUNCES ALL MY EMAILS BACK BLOCKED MY EMAILS... SO HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO TAKE THIS FURTHER..
