Absolute rip offs
If you give Apia a cent your and idiot i now go through GIO as Apia is a rip off

Hard to talk to anyone
Getting to talk to someone about claims or claims inquiries is near impossible - you will wait at least half an hour - every time. When you sign up though they are all over you and there are no delays

APIA Is WONDERFUL
We had terrible storm damage in April and claimed with APIA and bingo, the house is looking better than it has ever looked before. 11 out of 10 in my opinion.
Would never use this insurance company
Car drove through my parents house 6 months ago and it still hasn't been fixed, this is discusting for 70 years olds to wait this long for there house to be fixed, one excuse after an other. Terrible
Flood damage
After flood damage in my garage the assessors were awesome and even humorous, and prompt payout made the experience pleasurable instead of traumatic. Thoroughly recommend APIA to all who will listen.

Excellent people to deal with, when inquiring for a quote and making a claim. Am able to understand customer service, as they speak clearly in English. And they are open 24 hours, which is fantastic.

Have had very good experiences with APIA up to now but have looked at other insurers to compare. Many insurers promise much but when figures are in they are more expensive for the same benefits
